Simon Forster has left abruptly last week, a loss in confidence in his leadership as a reason behind the sudden departure. Selfridges said that Forster has decided to ‘persue other interests’ and that he left the company by mutual agreement after overall concerns were raised over the direction of the retailer and its culture.
