Singapore Welcomes New Kinokuniya Pop-Up Stores

The Japanese supermarket chain is debuting in Singapore with a series of pop-up store locations in the city.

Established in 1910 as a fruit merchant in Aoyama, Tokyo, Kinokuniya is a long-established brand that has paved the way for the history of supermarkets in Japan. Given that international travel is not yet set to return, the pop-up stores will bring a taste of Japan to the people of Singapore by offering an exclusive range of some of Japan’s most popular products.

Some of the products available at the pop-up stores include Strawberry Butter – an exquisite spread made with Japanese strawberries and butter; Premium Truffle Soy Sauce, made from a blend of white olive oil, French black truffles and Japanese Soy Sauce; and Drinking Yuzu Vinegar, a health drink made from yuzu juice and natural spring water.

Alongside a number of delicious products, the new pop-ups will provide the Kinokuniya Original Eco-Bags for sustainably-conscious customers.

The pop-up stores will be located in Japan Rail Café and Isetan Scotts Department Store and will be available until March 18.
