Six Flags Darien Lake Rebranding

Six Flags Darien Lake in New York is changing the name of its Splashtown water park to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for the 2022 season, and is also opening the new Wahoo Wave waterslide.

Wahoo Wave, a 60ft tall waterslide with six storeys, includes a 30ft vertical drop, and a whirlpool bowl and water wave wall. Construction on the new attraction is set to complete by the time the park reopens over Memorial Day weekend.

“Six Flags is committed to making the park bigger, better and now wetter than ever with the addition of this world-class water park attraction, Wahoo Wave,” Park President Chris Thorpe said in a statement. “With non-stop, soaking thrills for the entire family, Hurricane Harbor will be the perfect summertime escape,” Thorpe added.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is the world’s largest regional theme park company, with 27 parks across the US, Mexico and Canada.
