Situated in Gurnee, Illinois, Six Flags Great America has unveiled its plans to introduce a groundbreaking attraction to its line-up in 2025 – the Wrath of Rakshasa dive coaster.
This new ride is poised to set multiple world records, reinforcing Six Flags’ reputation for delivering high-adrenaline experiences that push the boundaries of amusement park thrills.
The new ride will stand out in the competitive amusement park industry with its remarkable technical specifications. It will feature a 171ft drop at a 96-degree angle, making it the steepest drop on any dive coaster worldwide. Moreover, this ride will include five inversions, the most on any dive coaster to date. The coaster’s towering height of 180ft and a top speed of nearly 67 miles per hour, combined with its 3,239ft of track, are designed to provide an intense and unforgettable experience for thrill-seekers.
This ambitious project by Six Flags Great America reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and its aim to maintain a leading position in the global amusement park market. The park’s president emphasised that the new ride will add significant value to their already impressive collection of roller coasters and attractions. This addition clearly indicates Six Flags’ dedication to offering cutting-edge experiences that attract visitors from around the world.
