The athletic lifestyle footwear brand has opened a nearly 22,000sq ft “superstore” at The Mills at Jersey Gardens, in Elizabeth. It is Skechers’ biggest East Coast retail destination to date.
Located on the second floor of the Simon mall, the new store features dedicated Skechers Performance and Skechers Work shop-in-shop areas, a 4,000sq ft dedicated Skechers apparel shop and a vast offering of casual footwear and athletic styles for men, women and children. The assortment includes shoes for the latest sports craze: pickleball.
Featuring an easy-to-shop circulation path, the store is designed as an interactive gallery of the Skechers experience, with engaging digital displays and fabric lightboxes featuring the brand’s marketing. Other features include LED lighting, concrete and recycled vinyl flooring, energy-conscious ceiling fans, as well as recycled rubber seating throughout the store. The new store replaces the previous Skechers store at Jersey Gardens, which was much smaller, at 2,900sq ft.
