The Basque fashion firm SKFK resumed the expansion of its commercial network with two openings, one in Madrid and the other in Barcelona.
In the capital, the brand formerly known as
Skunkfunk has established itself at 17 Ayala Street; in the Catalan city,
it has raised the blind on its new space at 580 Avenida Diagonal. Immersed in
a rebranding and repositioning process for more than three years, SKFK has had
sustainability in its DNA since its inception, and this is a capital value in
the new commercial concept that it has incorporated into its recently launched
stores in Madrid and Barcelona.
In these spaces, of 106 (in the case of Ayala street) and 75sq m (in Diagonal),
the firm opts for vintage furniture, recycled plastic elements and a central
table made with oak from Bizkaigane, the place where it was born.
Beyond decoration, the firm founded by Mikel Feijoo chooses to manufacture its own fabrics “to guarantee its sustainability,” according to a statement. Likewise, it is committed to upward business models that are also linked to sustainable consumption, such as renting or renting fashion from a monthly fee and second-hand sales.
