Sordi Gallery in Rome Reopens

After almost a year of work, the Alberto Sordi Gallery in Rome, located in the political and commercial heart of the capital, reopens to the public following redevelopment and restyling.

Fewer shops, no glass doors at the entrance, 200 people directly employed and ambitious turnover targets which should double to 100 million euros when fully operational.

While waiting for the arrival of the new stores, expected in the next few months, the inauguration ceremony saw the presence of the mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the President of the Culture Commission in the Chamber, Federico Mollicone and the President of Anica, Francesco Rutelli.

The President of Prelios, Fabrizio Palenzona, underlined how “its living room” is being returned to the city, recalling the group’s strong commitment to Rome with 1.5 billion euros of properties “that we manage, including the Rinascente, the Amazon headquarters and the building in viale Tupini, my former Unicredit headquarters”.

The redevelopment of the Gallery will see the arrival of “a higher brand mix, of international relevance, as well as national excellence” underlines Prelios as well as a space dedicated to culture and entertainment and catering spaces. “To increase and improve the food & beverage offer and make the Gallery even more attractive, the previous kiosks positioned in the centre of the walkways were removed, obtaining commercially more suitable and architecturally more suitable solutions with seats adjacent to and facing the shop windows”.
