Spar Grows Hungary Presence

SPAR Hungary has opened two brand-new supermarkets and has reopened two modernised stores, portraying a continual investment in its store network.

The new stores are located in a residential area in Budapest and Sopron, Western Hungary, respectively. The reopened stores have been upgraded with a more expansive range of convenience products, fresh food, and cutting-edge technologies to improve the shopping experience. Investment in these four stores totalled nearly €5.3M.

The newly opened SPAR Supermarket in the Allure Residence in Budapest features a condensed retail area but offers the same extensive range as larger SPAR Supermarkets in the country. SPAR Hungary has invested more than €1.2M in the store. The SPAR Supermarket has a strong focus on fresh, including a large fresh offering, a delicatessen counter, and a spectacular bakery department. Convenience also takes centre stage, offering both cold and warm to-go products.

Following an investment of more than €1.1M, a new SPAR Supermarket was opened in Sopron on 17 June. It has been designed according to SPAR Hungary’s latest design concept, featuring an extensive choice of fresh produce offered in market style and a large selection of convenience and baked goods near the entrance.
