The coffee giant has said that it will start a test-run for coffee deliveries and open a new outlet only offering delivery.
The new 100sq m outlet opens in Seoul today and is a space for employees to make and prepare drinks and food as well as storing other products. There’s also a dedicated space for delivery workers to wait for orders to be ready, however the store will not be open to the general public.
The company is anticipating to open a second delivery-only outlet to be known as the Starlit Daechi branch in Gangnam in the middle of next month.
Customers can place their orders through the Starbucks mobile app and must be within 1.5km of the outlet to warrant delivery. The company is partnering with Barogo, a Korean delivery start up for the service.
