The new Sumosan restaurant is located in the Al Baraha district of Msheireb, which is the largest open-air covered square in the Middle East.
The Sumosan brand was first launched in Moscow in 1997, now the brand has outlets across the globe. Cities including London, Dubai and Berlin are home to the Japanese-inspired restaurant.
The new space in Doha has been designed by London-based Design LSM, and it features a theatre kitchen and outdoor terrace. The new menu features items such as lobster salad, spicy king crab and salmon rice pizza.
Tom Munson from LSM Design said: “We have taken this well-established brand and elevated its identity to a completely new level, ensuring its recognisability does not come from the food and service alone, but is felt the minute that guests walk through the doors.”
Meanwhile, Founder Janina Wolkow added: “To witness Sumosan evolve in this dynamic region is incredibly rewarding, we look forward to welcoming everyone.”
