The new store has officially opened within Peterborough Serpentine Green Shopping Centre and focuses on sustainability within both design and construction.
The store features fully recyclable signage with graphics produced from recycled yarn and plastic bottles, meanwhile the ceiling tiles are made from bio-soluble mineral wood, clay and starch and are 100 per cent recyclable. A reduced number of LED Mod lights in the ceiling, AAA efficiency rated air conditioning and waste management of five per cent to landfill are also featured in the store.
Superdrug Property Director, Nigel Duxbury, commented: “We are incredibly proud to announce the opening of our brand-new Peterborough Serpentine Green store, where sustainability has been the focus of its development, construction and design from conception to reality.”
The store itself houses a wide range of health and beauty products including Superdrug’s own brand ranges; a Beauty Studio area where customers can access a number of professional treatments and more affordable prices; and two nail bars offering classic and gel manicures.
