The new restaurants have been designed with the customer in mind, ensuring a shorter waiting time.
The ongoing global pandemic has pushed consumers to change their behaviours regarding dining. More and more people are using drive-thru lanes, ordering online and having food delivered as opposed to dining in at fast food locations. The design includes two drive-thru lanes, pickup shelves, curbside pickup and more technology in the kitchen. One of the two drive-thru lanes is dedicated to picking up orders made through its mobile app with the other one being dedicated purely to traditional drive-thru customers.
As well as changes to the dining facilities, Taco Bell’s kitchens will also be revamped with technology that tells workers the fastest way to make the order and communicates to the customer the easiest way to pick up the food.
The first of the locations with the new design are expected to open in the first quarter of 2021.
