In an expansion of their small-format store portfolio, Target has opened a new location on Colorado Blvd in Denver.
The new space is the second small-format Target store located in Denver, joining one that opened in downtown Denver in 2018. The store spans approximately 40,000sq ft, around a third of the size of a regular Target store. Of the 1,909 Target stores that are operating across the country, around 140 of them boast the small-format.
As the smallest Target stores, the small-format locations boast flexible designs that let the brand bring their offering into urban neighbourhoods, where full-size Target stores would not fit. The smaller area allows them to continue bringing inspiring shopping experiences to guests across the country.
The company also plans to open another small-format store in the Exchange at Boulevard One complex in Lowry, according to one of the project’s developers. A spokesperson however has commented that they do not know when this location will open.
