A task force, which has been established by the Singapore Retailers Association and Restaurant Association of Singapore has now been tasked with created a roadmap towards a safe Singapore retail reopening.

The group will be taking advice from Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Chee Hong Tat as it studies F&B outlets resuming operations during Singapore’s gradual reopening following the coronavirus pandemic. It is actively investigating measures to make resuming business safe.

Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing has said that restaurants and firms in the sector awaiting permission to reopen should actively prepare for resumption of business.

“Those in the retail sector with a high [business-to-consumer] touchpoint or F&B will need to start thinking about the new measures to put in place for a safe resumption of activities,” said Chan.
