The Conran Shop Enters the Middle East

Following the opening of its new flagship store in London last year, The Conran Shop, the home of considered design and curated living, is taking on the Middle East market with a brand new store opening in Kuwait.

Located in Phase 1 at The Avenues, the region’s largest shopping mall, The Conran Shop Kuwait is split between two joint store sections across an impressive 627sq m, featuring a clean, curated and energetic aesthetic.

Set behind a custom oak store front, The Conran Shop Kuwait was designed using a characteristically Conran Shop material palette of oak, concrete and ribbed glass, with a rich, considerate colour scheme and wall fixtures by Kriptonite. The store is situated within the mall’s home and design zone and joins a vibrant part of the mall with over 200 stores, restaurants, and cafes in The Avenue’s Phase 1.

Featuring furniture, lighting and lifestyle, the eclectic product collection offered at The Conran Shop Kuwait was collaboratively curated by the brand’s buying team in the UK and Sarvi Baharloo, the Creative Director of Al-Dhow, a multidisciplinary organisation and The Conran Shop’s partner in the Middle East. Similar to the brand’s London flagship, the product edit is presented within carefully curated room sets to provoke the feeling of a home, along with specially designed areas for the lifestyle and gifting collections to inspire and aspire to the Kuwaiti customer.

Peter Jenkins, CEO at The Conran Shop, said: “The inspiration and appeal of our founder, Sir Terence Conran, is truly global and our product collections should be enjoyed by design lovers worldwide. It has been a pleasure working with Sarvi and the wider Al-Dhow team to bring the brand to the region. They have displayed incredibly high standards and focus on building a Conran Shop that is relevant to the local consumer, exceeding expectations whilst remaining true to our brand values.”
