The North Face Launches Re-Commerce Platform in Germany

The launch of the re-commerce platform supports the brands commitment to exclusively producing its clothing from recycled or renewable materials.

The outdoor brand will launch the re-commerce platform – The North Face Renewed – in Germany on May 4. Around 85 per cent of the textiles produced annually end up in landfills, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. The North Face intends to break this cycle with the launch of The North Renewed by transforming the traditional, linear business model into a more circular model where apparel can be repaired, resold and recycled.

Michael Horsch, VP Product and Marketing EMEA at The North Face, commented: “By analysing the impact of our products over their entire life cycle, we are able to identify key areas that enable us to reduce our ecological footprint as much as possible.”

“The North Face Renewed and our new commitment are important next steps as we continuously strive to minimize our impact on the planet without compromising longevity or technical standards.”
