The fifth community store by Starbucks Korea, titled ‘Kyungdong 1960’ has been revealed and it includes a theatre-inspired theme that pays homage to the heritage of the Kyungdong Market.
On course to open tomorrow, the 850sq ft store has space for a capacity of 143 and features a double-doored entry that has been kept in from the original construction. Guests who enter the store will then be lead to the centre of the store, where the bar serves as the main stage.
“This store not only stands for mutual growth with the local community but also a much-cherished meeting place for the locals,” said Jeonghyun Sohn, CEO of Starbucks Korea. “We hope to create meaningful occasions for customers of all generations and contribute to revitalising the traditional marketplace.”
