Tim Hortons Joins Middle East Gaming Trend

Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons has announced its first-ever Valorant tournament for gamers in the Middle East.

The Ignition Cup community tournament is open to teams from six countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Players will be competing for a total prize pool of US$5,000. The tournament will be structured as a 5 v 5 classic format game and is open to players of all skill levels who are residents of one of the six participating countries.

Tim Hortons said it was excited to support the growing Esports scene in the Middle East which would also offer its consumers “a unique and engaging experience”. Tim Hortons currently operates 148 stores across the GCC – the brand’s largest market outside of North America.

The Tim Hortons Ignition Cup tournament is conceptualised and curated by ITP Gaming. ITP Gaming provides management of large-scale business-to-consumer and business-to-business gaming initiatives across the MENA region including events and activations.
