Tim Hortons Looks to Expand UK Network

The major expansion drive for the UK is expected to create around 2000 jobs.

The Canadian fast food chain which is known for its coffees and donuts explained that it hopes to open an outlet in every major city and town over the next two years. The coffee-house opened its first UK outlet in 2017 and now has 23 locations in major cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff.

Despite the recent drop in sales due to the impacts of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the chain is confident that the spike in popularity for drive-through offerings will see an increased demand for further locations.

Jose Cil, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “We cannot predict exactly when the dust will settle, but we’re confident that we will be well positioned to capitalise on opportunities for growth as we emerge from the crisis.”
