The brands are instead expected to focus on their omni-channel offerings.
Topshop and Topman first entered the Singapore market, launching their first store at Orchard Road in 2000. The brands are currently managed by Wing Tai Retail, which also manages other international brands such as Adidas, G2000 and Uniqlo. The news comes following the struggling retailer recent announcement that it would be closing its 14,000sq ft store in Hong Kong’s Central next month after being present in the city for seven years.
Wing Tai Retail have commented on the news, explaining that they would rather concentrate on an omni-channel offering as this is more compatible with current consumer behaviours.
In line with the Singapore store closing, the brand ran a limited time sale promotion to help reduce stock levels. Customers were illegible to one free item for each two items purchased.
Topshop and Topman Singapore is set to close its last store in VivoCity by this Thursday September 17.
