‘Toys R Us’ are set to re-open

The iconic kids’ retail chain Toys R Us could be reopened by Christmas, however only in America. The brand behind Toys R Us – Tru Kids are planning to open 12 stores across America before this year is out.

Richard Barry, the former executive at the retailer, is believed to pitch the plans, which includes an online store. However it isn’t clear if there are currently any plans to reopen in the UK at the moment, the online shop might offer international shipping.

The new stores will be roughly 10,000sq ft. There will also be play areas, which will allow children to explore whilst their parents are shopping.

Earlier this month, the brand relaunched in Australia by selling good through Hobby Warehouse websites. The toy retailer was launced seventy years ago and went bust in the US near the end of 2017. Then by February 2018 the UK side of the retailer collapsed too.
