The Wirral-based company, which supplies bakery products in seven countries, said it plans to further expand in the Middle East in the next 18 months via distributor deals.
European bakery business Baker and Baker has signed an exclusive distributor deal with UAE’s La Marquise International as the company pushes ahead with its Middle East expansion.
The move follows the company’s earlier entry in Dubai where it opened an office and hired a sales team last year.
The Wirral-based company, which supplies bakery products in seven countries, said it plans to further expand in the Middle East in the next 18 months via distributor deals.
“We already possess strong growth and product recognition throughout Europe, and there is significant untapped potential for premium bakery products within key Middle East markets,” Ryan Perera, Baker and Baker’s international sales director said in a statement.
The company already supplies products to Saudi Arabia and Israel through its distributor network. Baker and Baker will initially launch its American Sweet Bakery range, which includes donuts and muffins, in the UAE, the company said, adding more product lines will be introduced in its new market soon.
