Uniqlo Japan Sees Positive Results

The retailer saw their sales increase in December by 6.2 per cent year on year, with online sales increasing by 6.1 per cent.

The retailer, which is part of the Fast Retailing Group has seen a positive month with their same-store sales rising due to a much colder month. The sharp turn in weather saw a surge in warm home clothing being purchased in the middle of the month which has positively impacted on figures overall.

The company added that five stores remain temporarily closed due to Coronavirus restrictions and 84 stores are operating shorter hours.
