Robert C. Hauck, General Manager of Mondrian Singapore Duxton is thinking outside the box and building a hotel team fit to create a guest experience like no other.
The General Manager is adopting an out-of-the-ordinary approach when it comes to picking staff for the new hotel. Under Mondrian’s ‘unexpected talents’ mantra, every possible avenue is being explored and no stone is being left unturned to hire a team like no other for when the site opens in Q1 next year.
“Any hotel is only as good as the people who bring it to life,” says Hauck. “Mondrian has given me the freedom to do something truly innovative and really cast the net wide in taking a new approach to assembling a team. It’s all about creating a place for individuals and personalities with a lot to offer but who may not fit in to a conventional hotel. They might be misfits in a sense, but they’ll fit in here.”
The upcoming hotel is Duxton Hill in Singapore which is set to become the latest part of the Mondrian portfolio, joining the brand’s properties in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, London, Cannes, Doha and Seoul.
