Universal Orlando Resort to Lay Off Staff

The company hasn’t yet revealed how many employees will be affected.

Universal Orlando reopened its parks in June after a period of closure since March due to the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic, however due to the lasting effects of the pandemic, the company soon announced that it would be reducing its workforce, commenting that the decision did not come lightly for them.

Tom Schroder, a spokesperson for Universal Orlando, commented: “We continue to manage our business through challenging times and we again have made the difficult decision to reduce our workforce as we position our business for the future.”

He continues: “We continue to be aware of the impact this will have on those affected by this action and we are working to support them through this process.”
