French luxury fashion brand Vanessa Bruno has opened its first store in Shanghai, marking its physical retail debut in China.
Located on the city’s West Nanjing Road, opposite the luxury retail park Plaza 66, the new Vanessa Bruno Shanghai store spans 2,700sq ft and resembles a Parisian apartment.
Designed by Belgian architect, Nathalie Deboel, the store interior blends French and Scandinavian aesthetics and will serve as a blueprint for an updated retail concept with larger shop floors, from the current surface average of 1,000sq ft.
Inside, shoppers will find the latest women’s fashion and accessories from the European brand, notably its ‘le cabas’ tote bags and summery dresses.
Founded in 1996 by namesake designer, Vanessa Bruno, the Parisian label recorded a 30 per cent revenue increase in the 2019 to 2020 fiscal year. In 2022, the brand clocked another 40 per cent leap.
