Vapiano Opens First Latvia Restaurant

The Italian-inspired restaurant chain has opened their latest restaurant at the Origo Shopping Mall, in Latvia.

Occupying an area of 454sq m, the new Vapiano restaurant seats 172 guests at any one time and boasts 4 pasta stations, 1 pizza station and 1 salad bar. This is the brand’s first locations in Latvia and sixth location in the Baltics overall.

The Vapiano concept is a unique one. Guests can directly interact with their servers, or ‘Vapianistis’ who prepare their meals so that they can get the exact food that they want, made the way they want. Guests are encouraged to take their time, relax and enjoy the ambiance in a laid-back setting. The Origo Shopping Mall is the perfect location for the Vapiano restaurant as it recently underwent a reconstruction and provides a warm, calm, unhurried and cosy environment.

Mario Bauer, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner acquired the Vapiano brand last year, and following a rough period towards the end of the acquisition due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Bauer and his group of investors are now in a position to rebuild a healthy structure for the brand.
