The scheme, which is being developed in partnership with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council will include a new cinema, retail and living accomodation at Marketfield Way in Redhill.
Preparatory work for the project began in December 2019, now that the foundations have been laid; the construction of a seven-screen cinema, shops and restaurants as well as around 150 one and two bedroom apartments has begun. At the time of the projects beginning at the end of 2019, it was described as a £40M project however a spokesperson from Vinci has corrected this to £50M.
As well as providing ample retail, leisure and hospitality opportunities to the locals and guests of Redill, this development is expected to bring a well needed boost to the local economy, offering residents employment, training and skills opportunities.
