The cinema chain are planning to reopen for business on July 4, subject to the UK government’s approval. However it won’t be the normal cinema experience that you would expect – social distancing will be present.

Vue stated that ‘We have been liaising closely with authorities across Europe to design operating procedures that can provide the degree of social distancing required and allow an experience for our customers and staff that is as safe as possible‘.

A highlight will be the implementation of an invisible shield of empty seats that will be left around family groups, which will be created automatically by the booking software.
