Therme Group and the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) are to create a year-round wellbeing destination in the city of Incheon, the gateway to Seoul and South Korea.

The global wellbeing organisation, has announced that it is working with Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok and IFEZ Commissioner Kim Jin-yong to bring a wellbeing resort to South Korea that can welcome upwards of one million people per year.

Therme Group, which has resort operations in Europe and last year unveiled plans for Therme Canada, now adds Incheon to its ongoing global development programme. Korean traditions of saunas, hot pools, wellness experiences and health-giving food align closely with the Therme concept and the $200 million + resort will reflect this unique history and culture.

“Therme Group’s Wellbeing Resort will not only attract tourists to Incheon and help to drive the region’s economy, but it will also boost health and wellbeing in the population as Incheon continues to grow as a leading global city,” said IFEZ Commissioner Kim Jin-yong.
