Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Germany has gained 20 additional partners for the various retail, gastronomy and leisure clusters of the upcoming flagship destination in Hamburg’s HafenCity. This puts the pre-letting rate at 70 percent. The opening is planned for spring 2024.
“We are very pleased that the brand and concept mix in Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier is taking shape. Flagship stores of popular and world-famous brands, entertainment and cultural highlights that do not yet exist in Hamburg, over 40 different gastronomy Concepts and a separate cluster for well-being, fitness and health – embedded in a lively mixed-use quarter, we are creating a destination that sets standards and will probably be unique worldwide,” says Andreas Hohlmann, Managing Director Austria & Germany at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
Lacoste complements the premium fashion and lifestyle segment with its own store. Customers should also buy a Breuninger Flagship store as well as Boss and Gant stores.
Levi’s “with the brand’s most modern shop concept” is also moving into the vicinity of the Zara flagship store, one of the future largest stores of the fashion brand, as well as the shops of H&M , Mango and Scotch & Soda. The sneaker and streetwear cluster continues to gain profile with Snipes and Onygo. URW has already announced partnerships with JD Sports, Foot Locker , Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius and Oysho for this trend segment and the young fashion segment . The letting of this part of the project is already on the home stretch, reports URW.
The perfumery, beauty and cosmetics sector is also being strengthened. Douglas opens a premium store . In addition, the international brand Arabian Oud, the world’s largest supplier of oriental fragrances, has signed a lease. URW had already announced the partnership with Ritu for this cluster of offers last year . There will be more than 40 gastronomy concepts in the Westfield Hamburg Überseequartier. International and local restaurants, bars, cafés, bakeries and other gastronomic highlights are planned, distributed over three central clusters.
Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing Austria & Germany at URW: “The partnerships with the brands and concepts recently brought on board are another important step in leasing. Lacoste and Levi’s ensure further differentiation of the fashion brand diversity. With Snipes and Onygo the entire area of young fashion, sports and streetwear in the quarter will probably be the best and most attractive cluster of this type in all of Hamburg. Douglas and Arabian Oud give the perfumery and beauty profile a clear contour. We will continue to focus on gastronomy partners in 2023. ”
