The natural and organic foods grocer is expanding its footprint in the Bay Area with a new 64,737sq ft flagship at Trinity Place.
The flagship will be situated at Trinity Place, San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighbourhood and it will open on Thursday March 10. The design of the store will feature a nod to the classic San Francisco city, with inspiration from the former Crystal Palace Market, the modern, industrial feel of the Tenderloin district and the iconic colours of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The product range will emphasise offerings from Northern Californida, with more than 3,700 local products available to purchase. This flagship will be Whole Foods’ ninth location in the San Francisco area and it follows the brand’s January opening of a 50,780sq ft outpost at Stonestown Galleria Mall.
In a move to give back to the San Francisco community, Whole Foods sponsored the grand opening of La Cocina’s Municipal Marketplace in San Francisco. Whole Foods is also a sponsor of San Francisco Beer Week.
Whole Foods has more than 500 stores in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.
