Intamin Amusement Rides has partnered with Qiddiya to design the new roller coaster, which is set to become the fastest in the world.
Falcon’s Flight will be the highlight of Six Flags Qiddiya, reaching record speeds of over 250km/h on a track of around 4km long. The ride will offer unrivalled panoramic views of the whole park, with a course that weaves its way around the entire theme park, up the Cliffside and down the cliff face. Lasting around three minutes, the ride utilises three electromagnetic propulsion launch systems.
Philippe Gas, Chief Executive Officer of Qiddiya, commented: “Rollercoaster fans around the world have been eagerly anticipating this ride since it was announced as there is nothing quite like it anywhere else. Now we are in the design stage with the experts at Intamin and the engineering team at Six Flags, the excitement is building!”
Six Flags Qiddiya will form an integral part of the overall Qiddiya development, which is expected to become Saudi Arabia’s capital of entertainment, sports and the arts.
