GHD, one of the world’s leading professional services companies has completed work on the district, which is a key waterfront community project in Abu Dhabi.
The scheme, which has been developed by Modon Properties consists of various sections all housed within the 3000-hectare Hudayriat Island. GHD have worked closely with the developers on a number of design, architecture, project management and construction supervision services across the whole project. The company has commented that their multi-disciplinary team have delivered innovative and high-quality finished for the project.
GHD have worked on a wide variety of offerings within the destination, including Marsana, a leisure-focussed F&B destination. The 321Sports and Circuit X, which are both considered to be significant contributors to the leisure and entertainment experience that Abu Dhabi has to offer. Bab Al Nojoum or ‘The Door to Stars’ is a campsite where visitors can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city and enjoy a number of recreational and leisure experiences.
They were also integral in bringing the OCR Park and Bike Park to life. The Parks are an endurance and challenge-based obstacle course race. Finally, the Hudayiriyat Island Heritage Trail is a landscape project which showcases the UAE’s heritage and architectural potentials.
