In 1993, Rajendra Parekh introduced ready-to-make dosa batter in Mumbai. It became a hit and eventually led to Yummy Dosa hitting to streets of Karama, Dubai in 2017.
Now, his son Jugal Parekh is carrying on the legacy as managing partner of Yummy Dosa and has his sights set on expansion. In 2015, Parekh joined his father, expanding the business and introducing a menu offering 99 varieties of Mumbai-style dosas along with Indo-Chinese dishes and sizzlers to the restaurant.
In seven years, Parekh opened four outlets, with a fifth in the pipeline in Abu Dhabi. The latest venue has opened in Business Bay’s Bay Avenue Mall.
Parekh said: “We feel immense gratitude for this journey. When we started our Karama outlet in 2017, we had no prior experience in running a restaurant and never imagined that a few years later, we would be opening our fourth outlet, with a fifth one already in the pipeline. Our focus has always been on the quality of our products and customer service. We are thrilled about the opening of our fourth outlet and look forward to serving our fusion dosas and sizzlers to everyone in Dubai.”
