Amazon-owned online shoe retailer, Zappos, is opening a store in New York City.
Zappos.com is an online shoe and clothing retailer that was acquired by Amazon in 2009 in an all-stock deal worth around $1.2billion at the time.
The brand has leased a space in the Union Square area of Manhattan, it has also been reported that Zappos will become a tenant for a neighbouring property distributed by Newmark Knight Frank. Although this is Zappos first location in New York, it is not the brands first bricks and mortar store. The retailer operates a 13,000sq ft outlet store in Louisville, Kentucky.
