The Spanish fast fashion giant Zara has confirmed the opening of its fifth store in the country, with a large-format space that will be installed in the Plaza San Miguel shopping centre in the Peruvian capital.
The new store is on course to open its doors in the middle of the year, in time for the change of season and the launch of the summer collection. At a global level, the flagship of the Inditex group presents a re-organisation of its commercial scheme with a change in its stores, prioritising large-format stores and establishments over 3,000sq m.
In mid-2023, Zara reopened its store in the Real Plaza Salaverry shopping centre, going from a 1,500sq m location to a 3,000sq m space. Peru was one of Zara’s first markets in Latin America and the Spanish giant opened the doors of its first store in the country in mid-2012.
In the wider region, Zara confirmed that it is returning to the Venezuelan market, while opening new stores in Colombia, similar to the stores in the major capitals of the world.
