Zus Coffee Brews up Expansion

Malaysian coffee chain Zus Coffee has entered Indonesia, opening its first Jakarta store, as the company ramps up its Southeast Asia expansion strategy.

The debut outlet at Puri Indah Mall is operated in partnership with Kapal Api Group and marks the brand’s latest regional push following expansion into the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand.

Founded in 2019 as a delivery-first coffee kiosk business, Zus Coffee has grown rapidly through its tech-driven model, integrating app-based ordering, pickup and delivery services. The company now operates more than 1,000 stores across the region.

Venon Tian, Group COO of Zus Coffee, said Indonesia represents a strategic market for the company due to its strong coffee culture and evolving consumer demand.

“Our mission has always been clear: to make specialty coffee accessible to everyone. Through our partnership with Kapal Api Group, we are excited to bring this vision to life in a way that is locally relevant, while staying true to what Zus Coffee stands for – quality, consistency and convenience,” Tian said.
